Champions Youth Cup 2007

It's so rare that our nation and even our tiny city gets to host such footie tournaments that no doubt will draw us "sakais" to go watch. Even though I dont play football and i hardly watch it on tv..this is an exception..coz its like once in a blue moon.This tournament involves most of the under-19 squads from great clubs all around the world..and the Group D stage was held at our very own Sarawak stadium and tickets are priced rm12 per person..cheap eh?its so worth it because u get to watch 2 matches per ticket and you're ensured quality football entertainment. I dont know all the clubs who are participating in this tournament but the teams are spread out to the all the major towns in Malaysia and the teams who are in Group D are Malaysia, Bayern Munich, Chelsea FC and PSV Eindhoven. I was really hoping Liverpool FC would be in the tournament..damn!=( And even though its the under-19 squads,they are definitely future stars in the making..they play quality football..quite similar to what u get on tv but to actually watch them live at the stadium..its a whole different experience. Oyeaa..during half-time there would be a lucky draw contest based on the numbers on each ticket..and the prizes aren't jerseys ,goodie bags or what most of us would expect..some lucky guy won an all expense trip to watch Chelsea play in the UK@@ nahh..it did'nt stay that way

I really pity the foreign players sometimes...especially when their opponent is Malaysia..as the home crowd would just boo them endlessly..i bet they would be thinking "and i thought we were playing the apes">< nonetheless there were also civilized audiences that would just sit back and enjoy the match...*cough cough* Im beginning to wonder if they''ll ever play here again..considering the response they're receiving..they most probably have bad impressions on us by now..but I hope there would be similar tournaments in the years to come and that the senior teams would come down next time. So far in the tournament,PSV and Bayern are through to the second round..and even though Malaysia did'nt qualify..they played pretty well..better than i expected..they even managed to hold on a 0-0 draw against Chelsea...

Gosh..I miss the holidays..i wish i could just"hit restart and pause it at my favorite parts"..college has been a drag..sienn..so many assignments and so many subjects! Academic writing is the worst subject ever..wonder why they implemented it in our course..its so bloody mafan..needa do so much and yet it all adds up to the same thing..the lecturer's like putting us in a situation where there's a escalator to use but we'll have to use the stairs instead..and he claims that it's all for monitoring our progress..man he's full of bulls**t! but like i said..its gonna be a tough sem..and the long hours of college are'nt helping...weather's so hot these days...why oh why wont it snow?

This is the continuation of my previous post..sorry everyone for the hold up=)

Now where was i....In kl i stayed a couple of days at my uncle's place and then moved to gloria's apartment in subang where taylor's inti and metropolitan college are located. While the rest squeezed in a hotel room at town..i felt so comfortable at the apartment which is really nice for a college's student standard..airconditioning..sofa..pantry area..there's even astro for all the occupants to share. The room that the rest were staying in was even smaller than gloria's room-.-"" and her attached toilet is comparable to most 3-4 star hotels...no kidding! And there's even a maid aka room keeping to cope with the bad habits of students XD all this for rm360 a month if im not mistaken

During the whole trip..i basically spent most of my time in subang. Asia cafe is the place ill head to as soon as i wake up..after washing up of course! Asia cafe consists of a food court, 24/7..2 storey cyber cafe with 300+ comps..and a pool/foosball club aka Asia Club..and this premises are usually loaded with college students almost 24/7..so u see..hw could i get bored..plus...there's so much eye candy in the form of two legs...if u noe wd i mean ;) Got hooked into foosball..its so addictive!..so many girls are playing it as well..bt i suck in it..even girls can kick my ass..but when it comes to pool..its a different story XD did u noe that one those foosball tables cost 14k?enough to buy a car@@ crazy..buts it the fact. Girls are so like guys these days..they can be seen playing dota and cs at the cc..some of them are kinda pro actually...plus they're hot!yikes..beauty that packs a punch..lol! Besides that..through gloria's intro i made new frens..philana,magdeline,subha,evvon,celina,fei and i also met up with old frens who were studying at taylors/nottingham..ivan,mark,dex,brian,cyn,malcolm just to name a few..if i missed anyone out..its just cause u mean no significance to me..lol jk.

Occasionally the rest whom were at town..will come down to subang or vice versa. When they came down..we played dota till the am..the teams were divided into kuching vs kl..kl team as in those who were studying in kl' Even in the early morning the cc would be still quite packed with plenty of LAN games available..their comps are so good u can run 3-4 games at once without disruption..all comp stations are equipped with top grade LCD displays and gaming mouses..oh and there's a leg rest below every comp. Not to forget, all the chairs we were using were OSIM massage chairs......okay i made this upXD On one of the thurs nites..we went to maisons..a club we've heard so much about..thurs nite was ladies night and according to most, the best nite to club there..when i got there..i was like wow..so unlike the clubs in my hometown..it was 2 storeys with a width of 5 shoplots..so many exotic cars were parked outside..entrance clad in red carpet,bouncers in suits, a pair of somewhat managers that will check whether ure in the guest list or wadever that list was and assign u to ur tables..i managed to get through the bouncers even though im still few months underaged..i borrowed fei's L license and when it was my turn for id check..they compared our faces and they were suspicious..cz we hardly look alike..they even asked me to tell them the last few numbers of the ic and my full name..and thanks to ivan's advice..i had already memorised them earlier..so in i went..haha suckers! The club felt like a real club...like the ones u always seen in movies..we were in the VIP section of course!The VIP on the 2nd floor had its own bar apart from the one below and it had velvet sofas where ppl can lay and the VIP section overlooked the dance floor below..The decor really blended well with each other...velvet sofas,chandeliers and multiple sized disco balls on the ceiling...it would be easier to describe if i had taken pics..or if u were to go there urself. We opened 3 bottles of whisky..1 black label, 1 Dewars, and 1 Jack Daniels. ive really fallen in love with Dewars and JD..they're so much better than the boring black label or chivas. But we were more busy dancing than drinking which is the complete opposite if we're back home..never danced so much before..sweating like mad on the dancefloor..but we just did'nt care anymore..we were having too much fun!the dancefloor was so packed it felt like being sardines in a can..the music at club differs from nite to nite..the nite we were there..it was rnb and hip hop..the way the music synchronizes with the lighting is just awesome..and the DJ would sing along to the songs..someone told me DJ Goldfish..the in-house DJ earns 7k a nite..and he drives a merc CLS..now..shud'nt we all be DJs..lol!And goodness..they were countless chicks there..our eyes could hardly even keep up..there was a podium where the girls would dance on..it was strictly for girls only..no guys were allowed up..damn!XD bt we danced around it anyway^^..to me the podium seemed like a buffet spread for the guys..LOL..we left around 3am and one casualty was claimed..he's non other than Ivan..man u suck=P Gloria said there's this club called The Loft which she claims is way better than Maisons..we'll just have to see for ourselves wont we?=D We also caught a movie at GSC on Sat nite..we watched Transformers..some of them had already watched it before but they did'nt mind cause it was worth watching a 2nd time..and man it rocks..best movie ive watch this year..MIKHAELA is so hot she got all the guys in the cinema all steamed upXD After the movie we went to The Curve, wanted to go to a club called Sanctuary but it was full..so we went to the Laundry bar below it instead..had a couple of drinks and just chilled out..low-key nite for everyone..one of my frens even saw reshmonu and his buddies few tables away from us..


All in all..it was my best kl trip ever! and this is my first KL trip that revolves around fun and not shopping..i spent most of my money on food,leisure and bloody taxi fares! Thanks Brian for bringing our special gift^^Been goin kl at least 2 times a year..wonder when's my next trip gonna be..hmm...soon i hope..as i miss the food..auntie anne's,xiao long bao,chilli's and esp the steak i ate at Jake's place..best steak i ever had!so tender,so juicy,so flavourful..imagine all the fatty juices flowing inside ur mouth within each bite..mmmmhhhmmm...u wont even think of adding any sauces whatsoever..cause its already so good on its own..there's two branches in kl..one's nex to victoria station and one's at starhill' Im miss Asia Cafe...i miss u longan susu,mee goreng special...i miss sucking in foos and kicking ass in pool..i miss Ftz CC...i miss maisons..and most important of all..i miss the ppl over there! And thanks to Gloria for being my host there=D Sorry there's not much pics taken while we were in KL..as adrian said..we were too busy having fun!



Now on to rainfest! aka Rainforest World Music Festival which im sure everyone noes or has heard about. It was held on the 13-15th july..and its celebrating its 10th anniversary. It was one of the events we were looking forward to..but we only managed to find accomodation a day before the event..which is lucky for us..if not we're gonna have to sleep on the beach@@ About 20+ of us showed up for the event.Alister and Brian were the ones who booked the room for us..and they managed to get a suite at Santubong Resort..one of the neighbouring resorts of the event venue. We each contributed 1-2 bottles of liquor and all in all there were 9 bottles..which at first i thought was too much for a single nite..but later on i was wrong...5-6 bottles were consumed before my eyes. Security at the event is much tighter this year..K-9 units were dispatched around the whole venue...probably out to sniff out drugs,explosives..smelly ppl? And they checked our bags before entry..and our liquor got confiscated cause it was considered an illegal item to bring in..but thanks to that sneaky brat brian..he got them back...our night would most likely be ruined if he had'nt..
..adrian joined us at the event at 11pm cause he had errands to run..he was 3 and a half hours late><..he was the one who got knocked out by a couple of black label shots at this event last year..he slept on the grass for a few hours while everyone partayed.. Quite a number of celebs turned up for this year's event..kenny sia was there but i did'nt see him..we ate next to alex yoong's table at the hotel coffeehouse..my frens saw colby and denise from MTV..but for me kwang,adrian wun and erc..the highlight of the night was when we met marion and alvey from channel V..kwang was the first one to spot them..they were just siting behind us while were were having our supper at one of the food tents of the event..i took a look and thought to myself..isnt that alvey?! We approached him and he was so funny and enthusiastic..asking questions like what are we doin here..shud'nt we be out there in the crowd looking to get laid>< L-R..alvey,marion,me,kwang,adrian..dont you guys agree kwang's sexier than marion?=D

Later on, the producer said they wanted to take a shoot amidst the crowd..and asked us to join them..we acted like his bodyguards-.-"..when they were doing the shooting..dozens of girls surrounded Alvey and its either they wanted to get a piece of him or have themselves be on camera..and damn..we were so jealous..LOL' This year's crowd was definitely more than previous years..they were more musicians as well..but sadly to say..i prefered last year's music..esp the scottish rock band..its 10th anniversary could'nt live up to its hype of potentially being the best ever rainfest..but it does'nt matter we still had fun..all we need is the booze,the atmosphere and the right ppl.


And a few days after rainfest, i went to kk with my dad and his frens on the 20th. It was only my 2nd trip to kk..my first was during our form 5 school trip..which was pretty much boring compared to my recent one because we did'nt go to the islands which is wad kk is so re-known for..But this time i did go to the islands..went to pulau sapi..one of the neighbouring islands of the more popular Pulau Manukan..and it was sooo fun! Definitely a great place for a group of frens to head to. At the island i went snorkeling and parasailing...For those who have'nt done parasailing...it's a MUST go!..really fun and even though its rather expensive(rm90 for 5-10 mins) its worth every penny..ull soar over the duno what it's called ocean(my geo sucksXD)which is so deep blue..as well a shaving a bird's eye view of the neighbouring islands. While on the jetty..before heading out to parasail..there was this guy who told me that july-sept was the shark seasons..where sharks are plentiful..not sure whether true ont la..but i still hate it when they dropped me in the water..yet the water's so cold and dark...maybe he was trying to psycho me..that bugger>< wheee!!

While in kk, i also met up with EmilyKim..the kuchingnite who moved to kk. I owe her for driving and showing me around. Her driving's really hiong man..manual summore..she might be even better than most guys..and she's gonna learn how to drift soon@@..im sure u guys have seen tokyo drift?she's the future neela =D Me and EmilyKim..taken in cocoon during our 2006 school trip..okayy..i know i look stoned..gorgeous isnt she?eurasian, half korean,..rojak lah!=X sorry fellas..she's taken..

Besides that, almost every dinner i had in kk consists of seafood seafood and more seafood..that's cause seafood there is 2nd to none..but prepare to pay a hefty price for it..as its all live seafood..esp if ure eating at Ocean seafood village where most tables are no less than 1k...and that place is usually to rip off tourists..hmm...am i considered a tourist? never seen so much variety of seafood before..and u can really tell the difference between live seafood and "dead"seafood..gosh i miss it.. having lunch at some famous curry house in kk..which i think is overrated as i dont find it that good and ive had better..

Went to a few clubs in kk as well..cock & bull and bed...i saw a club called the loft but im not sure whether its a chain from the one in KL..probably a wannabe..haha..the clubs in kk are'nt too bad..all these clubs are near the waterfront..basically one of the most happening places in kk.Bed is definitely bigger than any club back here in kuching..its like a warehouse with 2 floors..and the club's main attraction is the live band..which consists of philipinos and a guy that looks abit like sean paul>< and because the lead vocalist of the band is so hot..many old men are drawn there..and they just stare at her like zombies..-.-"" but no doubt..phillipinos chicks are hot..
My trip to kk also marks the end of my hols..cause as soon as i got home...my 2nd sem had already begun..ah well..it was one hell of a holiday!

Holidays/events to remember~

After my finals during the end of may..i had a 2 and a 1/2 month sem break..but it was'nt much of a holiday at first..spent most of my time slacking around...goin out..dotaing..sleeping in the am and waking up in the pm..such an unhealthy lifestyle..but i lost weight with easeXD i even joined a multi-level marketing company for a new experience..but i guess i got lazy..and it was'nt until july that i really had a hell of a time..

In july..me alister,hng,wun,ben,kitty went for a KL trip which we had planned a few months back..i went on the 2-9th july while the others 4-8th..the reason i was there slightly longer than the rest was because i had relatives there..and i wanted to spend time with them first..i will not go into detail about the trip cause that would take too long..so ill just summarize it=P

First thing i did when i reached kl was find roger..who was also in KL during that time..he was staying at his bro's place so i paid him a visit..his bro brought us to some old coffee shop one street behind jalan alor for lunch..everything was old school there man..they serve chicken rice and basically all the common dishes that accompany chicken rice(does'nt sound right..lol!)..but their char seow..is just..incredibly super duper yummy!!!!!best char seow ive ever eaten..believe me when i say it has a crispy yet melt-in-your mouth texture..i told my frens about it and they find it so ridiculous they would'nt believe me..so i brought them there..and when they took a bite..they had nothing else to say...literally dumb founded.. the mouth-watering char seow!!..photo courtesy of roger's blog. After lunch we headed to sunway lagoon...it was my first time there in about 10 years...the only thing that i rmbed the last time ive been there was i was still too short/small to go for most of the rides..theme park attractions..water slides etc@@...a hint for those who wanna go there..go in groups of even numbers..cause most of the time..pairs are needed for the wet park..we spent few hours there...i did'nt even get a tan..dammit..roger's bro lost his tag heuer watch there..he was having too much fun it sumhow detached from his wrist..but he was still okay about it..and said he'll just buy another one later on...which indeed he did...he bought a new tissot at sunway pyramid later on@@..


Gahhh!! looks like ill have to finish this post later..cause my wrist hurts..barely able to keep my eyes open...result of dotaing all nite long and i have an early class tomorrow morning....i hope this post will satisfy u readers for the meantime..updates are still lacking of pics..i noe!.. soon soon yea=X...to be continued..

IT 2

zzz..posting from IT 2 class now...2nd phase of IT in foundation..kinda boring' i still rmb we played cs in IT sessions to kill off boredom..LAN summore...and the lec did'nt even bother..which jz shows how's the standard in our college-.-...it's our first IT class this sem and our lec is already briefing us about our assignments..bloody hell..i reckon itll be a tough sem loaded with assignments@@..

But anyways..let me recap wad i did today. Woke up at 12..early considering i slept at 6amXD..went for lunch with uncle and sis..then shortly after..went to my cousin's hair salon for a hair cut..cut it really short this time...by my standards...was bored with my long hair...too messy and somewhat impossible to style..lol! After that, met up with the rest of the guys at swak club to play ball..saw lotsa old men playing today..bt of course we did'nt play with them...dont wanna cause several heart attacks later=D For dinner..me brian and adrian initially wanted to go to a cosy taiwanese cafe ..but then kitty called and asked adrian to meet her at KCH FEST...the weather then looked bloody gloomy and as brian said..doomsday's coming! so we all had sec thoughts..then wd the heck we jz changed our minds(which later on was a bloody fcuking huge mistake!)..so off we went to KCH FEST..for those of u who dont know..its the annual kuching food and fun fair(outdoors)..even though i dont see wd's fun there@@ but for food lovers..its heaven i tell u=) When we got there..it started to rain..luckily we had an umbrella..but buying food with an umbrella under the rain is so bloody mafan i tell u...then the rain started pouring like mad...the umbrella was no use at this point so we jz walked under the rain...we were literally soaked and rainwater was constantly sipping into our food packets..our clothes weighed few kilos more..then i thought to myself..wow..wad a weekend-.-...really felt sorry for adrian as we were in his car even though we were dripping wet...and besides that..his phone that was in his pouch got soaked and now it's screwed up=X All this would'nt have happened if we had gone sumwhere else to eat..sum place DRY! but noooooooooo...owell...we got no one to blame but ourselves..
